Stila Beach Palette Number 5: Living the Life in Laguna

I have to admit, of all the Stila Beach palettes, I was most hesitant to try this one. This is probably a surprise considering what Wonderful in Waikiki looks like. I have always been under the belief that wearing pink on you eyelids makes you look like you are diseased, and this palette is full of pinks. The colors, while gorgeous, scare the living daylights out of me. But I was wrong. My best friend Becca got this palette a while before I did. A couple times I noticed how beautiful her eye make-up was and told her. It was always when she was wearing the colors from this palette. After I bought it, I wore it to work. I received two compliments on my make-up that day from two different people. So I got over my fear and started loving this palette.

So the first color, Sand Dollar, is a light ink with silver sparkles. The second color, Sunset, (my personal favorite) is a metallic dark pink with rosy sparkles. The third color, Cove, is a purple with pink sparkles. The final eyeshadow, Bonfire, is a dark brown with pink sparkles. They are really pretty!

Now on to the blushes. In my opinion, they look almost the same and don't really have a lot of pigment. Seashell is a light pink with silver sparkles and Pacific Coast Highway is a hair darker and more peachy with silver sparkles. On my very red skin they don't really show up at all.

Stila Beach Palette Number 4: Wonderful in Waikiki

This is probably the scariest looking of all the beach palettes, it's also one of my favorites. The reason I say this is because most of it is straight up brown. The only colors that aren't brown are the shimmery champagne color and the BLUE. I was especially intimidated by the blush colors as they look more like bronzers. But, like I said, I love this. It really creates a beautiful look when put on! This palette would be great for summer time, especially with the beautiful blue!

So the first color, Wahine is a gold/champagne color with golden micro glitter. The second color, Sarong is a penny copper color with copper micro glitter. The third color, Coconut, is a brown with with brown glitter, and finally Surf is a bright matte blue.

As for the blushes, North shore is a matte peachy brownish color which looks lovely on the cheeks. Hanauma bay is a pretty brown color with a hint of red in it.

Stila Beach Palette Number 3: Striking in South Beach

This is the third Stila beach palette and it is stunning! It is definitely more of a night time palette. I recently wore this to a party and got lots of compliments on it!

So the first color, Ocean Drive is a shimmery silver blue color. The second color, Wave, is a shimmery bluish violet that is very similar to Ocean Drive but a little darker. The third color, Nightlife, is a gorgeous black with pink and green micro glitter. The forth color, Cabana, is a darker bluish purple with pink, purple, and green micro glitter. The blush is hot pink with pink micro glitter, and the bronzer is a reddish brown with silver micro glitter. Be very careful when applying the blush and bronzer as the bronzer is pretty pigmented and can make you look a little too brown!

Stila Beach Palette Number 2: Haute in the Hamptons

This is the second palette of five in Stila's beach palette collection.This one, like the first, is very wearable. It has mostly neutral colors, and the one darker blue color.

So the palette starts off with Sand, a matte light beige color. The next color is Linen, a sparkly gold color. Then we have Route 27, a brown with pink and green micro glitter. The final eye color is Blue Skies, a dark blue with blue micro glitter.

Now on to the blushes. The first is Hydrangea, a really light, matte pink. Finally, Montauk Highway is a darker red color. From the first look it looks like it is a bronzer color but don't use it as a bronzer! It is too red to be a bronzer and will make you look sunburned! I use the lighter blush on my cheekbone and the darker one under it in a very small amount.

Stila Beach Palette Number 1: Stunning in Sayulita

I've reviewed this before, but I thought I would do it again as it is part of my Stila travel palette series.

This is the first of five travel beach palettes that Stila released Summer of 2011. I fell in love with this one at Urban Outfitters and had to get the rest... and then some. This one is one of my favorites. You can get a really pretty natural look but it also has a nice flair with the green color, Palm Trees.

Starfish is a light shimmery champagne rose, Sandbar is a deep brown with lots of lighter brown glitter, Getaway is a light violet color with multi colored glitter, and Palm Trees is a pretty green with gold glitter. Playa is a peachy pink matte color, and Banderas Bay is a light pink glittery highlight color (it barely shows up but it is there, under Playa).

This is probably one of the most wearable palettes in the beach collection! Check it out if you can find it! It's worth every penny!

Stila Travel Palette Series

So as you can probably see from the title, this is going to be my first post from my Stila Travel Palette series. As you can see from the pictures, I have 10 of these. Not only are they great, they are also awesome collectibles. I collect them and my friend Becca collects them as well.

The first set of five are from the Beach Collection. The next three were released solely with Urban Outfitters, and the last two were released independently and I purchased them on Haute Look.

So stay tuned for the next 10 posts on these palettes! Also I will be hitting my 100th post soon so stick around for my giveaway!
